The heart path Story

Welcome to The Heart Path! We all walk different paths in life. The Heart Path prioritizes our heart's longing and our desire to live this "precious life" on purpose.

Thank you for joining me on this path. My name is Evonne Ellis, and I can't help but notice hearts wherever I go. From the coast, to Redwood forests, to potholes in Spanish villas, these age old shapes remind me that I am following my own unique journey here on Earth. I love to travel, walk long distance, meet new people, and photograph nature, light, art, and beautiful humans. The Heart Path is a culmination of my experience, craft, and passion to inspire others.

I've worked as a group leader in National Parks and Forests, a college instructor at Western Colorado University and Chadron State College, an academic advisor, interpretive ranger, fire lookout, and a trails mason. I have dual BS degrees in Environmental and Natural Resources Sociology and Sustainability from Oregon State University and dual MFA degrees in Creative Writing from Western Colorado University with concentrations in Nature Writing and Poetry. 

The Heart Path is composed of the Field Writing Institute, Magenta Mountain, and The Heart Path. The Field Writing Institute reflects my love of writing, writers, collaboration, community, and nature. Magenta Mountain is a creative business I started years ago and have recently revived. The Heart Path offers guiding services for my favorite pilgrimage, the Camino de Santiago in Spain, and provides consultation for those who desire to live heart based lives.  

We are all unique individuals with gifts, talents, and our own authentic purpose. The Heart Path celebrates our collective journey. I look forward to sharing this path with you!
